An estate plan can be created by a will, a trust, or by simply an experienced attorney guiding you through how to set up deeds, death beneficiary designations, and powers of attorney. Whatever the case may be, every person should have some sort of legally valid estate plan to make sure that their family and friends receive what is intended for them, and to make sure that their passing is not more of a burden than necessary to their loved ones.
